Lasswade Athletics Club

The course lies to the west of the town of Rosewell in Midlothian which is located seven miles south of Edinburgh. The race comprises a ten mile loop set in a scenic, rural location, run mainly on ‘B’ and ‘C’ class roads and unclassified routes.

Water (cups) will be provided at the only water station on the course at Rosslynlee Hospital (6.3 miles approx.) and at the finish (bottles).   There will be a time limit of 2½ hours for the race, after which, route signs will be removed and course marshals will disperse.

Race Numbers, Registration & Race Start
Confirmation of entry will be sent beforehand and race numbers will be available for collection from Registration on the Sunday. Registration is from 09:45 – 11:15 am at Ferguson Park, Rosewell, Midlothian which is the home of Whitehill Welfare FC.  Click here to see a location plan for Registration (use the – and + buttons at the top left hand corner to zoom in and out).  The Race Start is at the west side of the village of Rosewell which is approximately 500m from Registration at Ferguson Park – click here to see a location plan for the race start.

Prizes
There will be prizes for individuals and teams and spot prizes will be presented.  All finishers will receive a medal and a free buffet will be provided for all entrants.  Click here to see the prize list.  

Facilities
Showers and toilets are available at Ferguson Park courtesy of Whitehill Welfare FC.  The post race buffet will also be staged in the marquee at Ferguson Park. On street parking is available in Rosewell village although, as the race is very popular, spaces may become limited.  Please note that parking is entirely at the owners’ risk.   

How to Get Here
The village of Rosewell is situated seven miles south of Edinburgh and a mile to the east of the towns of Bonnyrigg and Lasswade.  Direction signs to Registration at Ferguson Park will be erected from the Tesco roundabout at the junction of the A7 and A6094 between Dalkeith and Bonnyrigg.  Click here for directions.
