A great day at Meadowbank Stadium. Well done to all our participating athletes. Many thanks to all the volunteers and officials who, as always, make these events possible. A special mention to Dave McConnell and his team for the organisation and delivery of this event.
Well that’s the Club Champs over for another year. A HUGE thanks to all the officials from Lasswade and drafted in from other clubs to assist, to adult helpers on the numbers, stalls, raffle etc. And to Parents for cheering them all on. Also all who donated baking, rolls, and tombola
Well done to all the athletes, a few PB ‘s from what I saw and I will post results as soon as available. Mark Kinghorn who has provided us with excellent pictures throughout the track season has provided a fine selection once again

Congratulations to the many Lasswade athletes who assisted Team Edinburgh to team silver at the final of the YDL at Bedford on Sunday 4th September. A fantastic achievement given the quality of the opposition.
A good set of performances by Lasswade Athletes at the annual Pitreavie Trophy meeting and sets them up nicely for this weekend’s Club Camps. Thanks to Gordon Robertson for compiling the results which are also available via the Pitreavie Web page.
Well done all !!

Well it was worth the wait !!
Attached are the results of match 3 of the CSSAL from Sunday 28th August at Kilmarnock
Starting the day as second bottom equal and in real danger of relegation Team Manager Morton mustered a near full squad.
All athletes stood up to the test finishing the day 3rd overall and securing their league status once again.
A huge well done to all involved throughout the campaign often covering in events that was not their first choice.
It never fails to impress what Lasswade AC can do when we get a full team out.
Andy Sobik and his team have retained their place in Division 1 of the Scottish Athletic League after a well earned 5th place finish on Saturday 27th August at Grangemouth Stadium. A happy team along with our hard working officials. Well done everyone and thanks for representing LAC.

Scottish 4 x 100m Relay Age Group Championships – Grangemouth Stadium
The club had four teams in the Scottish 4 x 100m Relay Age Group Championships at Grangemouth today, and all teams represented their club well.
The U13 Boys’ team (Alastair Scott, Dexter Howard, Harry Officer & David Malloy) finished 3rd in their heat, qualifying for the final where they finished 7th. This was a good achievement from the young team who are all still eligible for the U13 age group next season.
The U15 Boys’ team (Adam Leighton, Jamie Kinghorn, Angus Cousin & Josh Howard) were 2nd in their heat and 4th in the final, while the U15 Girls’ (Mia Downie, Michelle Blaikie, Kirsty MacEwan & Stephanie Ogg) finished sixth in their heat.
Our U17 Women’s team (Shona Gristwood, Bryony Patterson, Rachel Elder & Georgia Jones) had some changeover issues, and unfortunately never finished their heat.
This is the most teams we have had in the relay championships for a number of years, so well done to all who took part and hopefully we can have as many – if not more – teams in next year’s championships.
Scottish Senior 400 m Champion
