Lasswade athletes Keira Murray and Martin Gore both qualified for the age group world championships in Chicago.
They both took part in the Aquathon today with Keira finishing a fantastic 3rd in the women age 25-29 category and Martin finishing 17th in the men age 30-34 category.
Congratulations to you both from all at Lasswade AC on your outstanding performances and good luck for your next event on Saturday.

Our Annual Championships are nearly upon us and it is time to send my annual request for help on the day!
There will be a raffle, tombola stall, sale of teas/coffees, filled rolls and home baking. Donations of filled rolls/baking can be brought along on the day and for the raffle and tombola on any training night. All monies made are for the club funds.
Even if your child is not competing we would still very much appreciate donations.

Cameron Steven and Lauren Dickson made the journey south this weekend to Bedford to compete in the England Age Group Championships.
Cameron was competing in the under 17 men’s 800m and Lauren in the under 17 girl’s 1500m. Cameron was first to compete on Saturday morning and safely qualified for the final on Sunday by winning his heat in 1.55.87.
Next it was Lauren in the 1500m which was now being run as a straight final. Lauren ran a fine race to finish a very impressive 5th narrowly missing a personal best with a time of 4.38.40.
In the under 17 men’s 800m final Cameron ran a fantastic race to win, coming close to his personal best with a time of 1.52.93.

The Scottish Age Championships took place over the weekend 22&23 August 2015. Pretty good conditions on the Saturday and glorious sunshine and heat on the Sunday.
Some fine performances over the two days but perhaps a special mention to Cameron Steven who broke a 13 year record in winning his 1500 metre final.
