The National Age Group Championships (U13 – U20) take place on 22nd and 23rd August at Grangemouth Stadium.
Entries for this event close on 5th August 2015.
This is the main championships for track and field athletics in Scotland so if you want your child/children to compete please remember to submit their entry on time.

This weekend sees the schools track and field international take place at Grangemouth.
Two Lasswade AC athletes have been selected to represent Scotland, Cameron Steven in the 800m and Lauren Dickson in the 1500m.
Congratulations to both athletes on their selection and good luck from all at Lasswade AC.
Lasswade AC regret to announce the death of senior club athlete Tony Weir (60) on 28 June 2015
Tony’s funeral will be held at 1100 hours on Tuesday 7th July 2015 at Mortonhall crematorium, to which Tony’s wife Sheena and daughter Ruth welcome all friends and former colleagues. Family flowers only.
Volunteer required. CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
In preparation for the club championships in September we are looking for a volunteer to take on the administration of athletes, event allocation and collection of race fees. This role has been carried out by Dave McConnell who wishes to step back but has offered to support the person prepared to take it on. He has the necessary spreadsheets / documents from last year so should not take long to get up to speed

Please find last weekend’s results from Kilmarnock. Well done again to all those that participated.
And so concludes this weekend’s double header for some with the Central and Southern Scotland Athletics League meeting at Grangemouth.
A tremendous effort from U11s right through to some ageing masters (myself included).
Particular thanks this week must go to Linda Smith and Margaret Benham who have picked up and run with the team in the absence of David Hand, due to his ill health. All at Lasswade AC wish David a speedy recovery.
Thanks again to all the club officials helping out today and to athletes and parents for once again giving of their effort, time and fuel.

No more team races for a few weeks but training continues and look out for open graded meetings at Grangemouth, and LIvingston as well as a throws and Jumps event at Meadowmill.

POSITION VACANT – Membership Secretary
Lasswade AC are actively seeking a new Membership Secretary to take over from John Brash who intends standng down.
If you have good admin skills, useful with spreadsheets and databases and have a few hours each week that you can give on a voluntary basis we would love to hear from you. Results from last night’s time trial at a warm and calm Meadowmill. Some good performances from the half dozen athletes taking part.
Overcast but good running conditions greeted 96 runners who took part in this year’s fundraising fun run.
Thanks to all those who ran, organised and marshalled on the night. Monies raised will help pay transport costs for the club over the course of the season.
