Rachel Robertson won the bronze medal in the long jump (5.31m) at last weekend’s English Athletics U17 Championships at Bedford. Rachel also registered a PB of 11.16m in the triple jump as she finished in 6th place.

Cheers Norrie, I leaned as far over the barrier as I was allowed! Yes, Morgan is indeed pretty special, and nearly all our club coaches have recognised that while discussing Rachel’s recent achievements. Morgan has a better record at U17 than Jess Ennis and Katarina JT. Also, looking at the girls on the podium, two are 16 going on 20, and the other one is 16 going on 14!!
