Run! Jump! Throw!
Our (almost) end of track season finale took place on Monday 31st August with over 80 athletes turning out. For some, this was their first taste of competitive athletics and hopefully not the last! Any athlete interested in competing at the Forth Valley League competition on Sunday 13th September should sign up by Saturday 5th September. Spaces may be available after that but we hope to have the initial team selection shortly after the 5th. This is our last outdoor league competition of the season (for Under 12s to Under 16s) but… it won’t be long before the Indoor League starts with the first fixture taking place on Sunday 15th November.
There was lots of good competitive action on the night, with a couple of the overall age group prize winners being separated by 1 or 2 points.
Well done to the winning relay team (Team 16) from the 3rd and final heat which comprised of Ella McL, Matthew T, Anatswa and James. Please collect your medals from Keith at training.
As always, a big thank you to our team of volunteers – we had over 50 officials and helpers to help make sure that this competition could take place. If you’re interested in helping the club in future events, please get in touch with the coaches or committee members. Many hands make light work and we’re always looking for ways to make the event bigger and better!
